What's New on the Main Page and the WPRA Site as a Whole:
Support for Points, Villa Types and WJL Seasons: WPRA
now supports the registration of members who bought one of the newer ownership models
that WJL now sells. Originally, WPRA only supported the registration of owners who had
purchased one or more specific villas in one or more specific weeks. Now, in addition to
this, WPRA supports the registration of members who have bought just points, or who have
bought a number of points associated with a particular class of villa (ex: 1 Bed Ranch)
in a particular WJL season (ex: Diamond).
Prominent "Join WPRA" Button:
many new visitors to the site failed to notice the small
"Join WPRA" link that was in the leftmost column of main page and would end up sending
in an email asking how to join. To resolve this, the "Join WPRA" link has been replaced
with a large, new and very visible green button in the same location on the main page.
This new button sports equally large "Join WPRA" letters, making it very difficult to
miss!
What's New? Button Per Page:
v2.0 of WPRA has brought sweeping changes to the site, some very visible, some more
subtle and less so. On many pages, to highlight what is new on each page, one of the two additional
buttons afforded by the wider page format has been dedicated to a per page "What's New" button. When
clicked, this button provides a summary of what is new on that page.
Page Help Button Per Page: Some
pages of the WPRA site have many capabilities that may not be immediately obvious, while historically
some pages, such as the "Join WPRA" page and the "Edit Ownership" page, have proven difficult for
people to use effectively. For such pages, the new "How To Use" button has been added, typically
as the second button from the right on the button bar that runs across most pages. Click this button,
read the contents, and you will be better equipped to use the page to its best advantage.
Enhanced Pagination Control: The Pagination control that
appears across the top and bottom of the display area whenever a page produces multiple screens
of output has been enhanced both with a larger font size and a specific highlight color for the
current page. Page numbers now start at "1", not "0". Finally, static "Next" and "Prev" buttons
have been added to make moving through the results simpler and more intuitive. Larger pagination
controls, such as on the "Members" page, now scroll left and right as needed within a fixed width
field.
Active Buttons and Links: Buttons and
Links now light up when you mouse over them to indicate that they are active.
Expanded Use of Color on the Button Bar: Selected buttons now
alter their color dynamically to reflect actions that are relevant to the subject of the page.
One form this takes is that on pages with multiple options (ex: Photo Gallery, Ownership), the
per option button changes to a highlight color to indicate that it is the active option.
Wider Page Format: the base page template has been
widened, allowing for more usable display space per page and an additional two buttons on the
button bar.
Larger Fonts, Graphics: Throughout the site, font sizes and
the size of any per page graphics have been increased to improve readability.
Larger More Visible Buttons: Most pages of the site that
require input from the user now feature larger and more visible Submit, Cancel, etc. buttons
to make use of the page more intuitive.
